The concept was adopted by YouTube and then by Facebook. Facebook gaming is growing in popularity as a new platform. Streamers certainly benefit from it. Facebook is quickly providing gamers with more subscribers for streaming live games in order to promote more users on the platform.
Facebook's partner program provides live gamers with access to multiple revenue streams. Gamers claim they are now making more money streaming games live on Facebook than on Twitch or YouTube.
On the third Friday of each month, Facebook invites 150 artists to learn a new theme. The company knows the value of gaming and live streaming and is trying to promote this growing market.
Friday afternoon, 150 artists, programmers, designers, and musicians came to Facebook/Oculus HQ and learned a secret theme – “Repair.” We’ve had 48 hours to form teams and make games based on that theme, and now we’re excited to show the world what we’ve created.
According to last year's viewership statistics from April to June, an estimated 153,000 active streamers participated on Facebook.
